Many, many years ago in a little far away country lived a girl who oftenly went to movie with her daddy to watch movies about wild, wild west. In these movies she saw wonderful bed blankets made from many colorful small pieces of fabrics. And of course, she wanted to have one, but in her far, far away country no one knows how to make it. Then, some decades later clever men invented internet and our little girl (being granny in meantime) finally learned how to make a quilt. From many scraps , in all the wonderful colours in the world.

I LIKE MONDAYS

About two weeks ago I got e-mail from South Africa ,
from completely unknown women asking about
quilt shops in Croatia where she planed to spend
her holidays.I had to disappoint her because there
is no single quilt shop here, but I've offered her
to visit factory outlet nearby my place. We exchanged
few massages and she asked me if I want something
from South Africa. My answer was that it would be
nice to have a piece of fabric from SA, and bellow
you can see what a treasure I got .
Could you imagine what was I doing today?
Yes, I was playing with my new fabrics whole day ,
planing what to do with them.AS far I think about
one African quilt, using only this wonderful, bright
fabrics, which are otherwise my favorites.

THANK YOU STELLA, this is one of the most beautiful
gifts I ever received.

PINCUSHION PASS

Look what a wonderful new pincushion Carolina
made for me! Isn't she adorable?! And her back
is made from hexies; I beleive I couldn't get
better pincushion than this one.

Thank you Carolina, you made my day.

EARLY BIRD REPORT

This week three new objects in my hidden suitcase.
The first one is this simple placemat, but this is
only the first one.I think my whole family would
receive placemats this Christmas, but every one
is going to be different, it's boring to make 5 or
more same things.

Sweet Karen from Sew many ways made this interesting
"Eyemark" and it was very easy to make.I beleive it's going to be
a gift for one of my former colleagues

I made my first biscornu pincushion, all in Christmas fabrics,
and this one will stay with me. Why? It's too big, the next
is going to be smaller.

This will be all for today, but have tons of ideas, see you
next week.

SIGGIES

Some six months ago I've started swaping siggies with
friends from all over the world from Annelies's list.
Pictures of them were posted on my blog "Krpe & zakrpe"
which I previously wrote in two languages : english
and croatian .Two months before I've devided this
blog to former one which stay in croatian and this one
which is writen only in english. As my siggie friends
don't understand croatian, I've decided to move pictures
to this blog, so from now on they could be seen only here.
And now, the pictures:
